ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

Educational Qualification:

It is a must for the candidates to have a Bachelor's Degree from a government recognized board/ equivalent education.

Age Limit:

The age limit to be eligible for the upcoming exam is 21 to 28 Years of age as of 01 July 2021. UP Police SI age limit criteria are alike for both males & females. Physical Efficiency Test:

Candidates who qualify for the first round of the UP Police SI Physical Test (Weight/ Height /Chest) shall be called to appear for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET).

Medical Test

After the eligibility mentioned above criteria are satisfied, the selected candidates also have to undergo a medical test to assure the selected SI is in the best of their health & meets the job's health standards. The following tests are accompanied for the medical examination.

  • Eye Sight- Minimum distant vision should be 6/6 & 6/9 of both eyes without glasses. The candidate must not squint in the eyes.
  • Eyes test ( sight + colour blindness),
  • Tooth test,
  • Hearing test,
  • Blood test ( all variants) + Urine test,
  • Hands & Legs without any significant problems ( barefoot must be seen),
  • Chest x-ray,
  • Knock knee test,
  • Drug screening,

HOW TO APPLY:

Step 1: Registration for UP Police SI

  • Visit the official site of UP Police.
  • On the homepage, click on 'apply online'.
  • Then, click on the 'Apply for UP Police 2021' link.
  • Fill in your details, such as your name, contact information.
  • A registration number & a password will be sent to your registered mobile number & email address.

Step 2: Complete UP Police SI application form

  • Log in using your registration number & password to complete your application form.
  • Provide your details such as communication address, educational qualifications in the application form.
  • Select your category & the exam centre.

Step 3: Payment of UP Police SI Fee

  • You can pay your application fee either online mode/ E-Challan.
  • Upon payment of the application fee, the site will generate a transaction ID. Keep the transaction ID safely throughout the recruitment process.
  • The application fee for UP Police SI is given above.

Step 4: Upload documents for UP Police SI 2021

  • Once you have filled in the details & paid the required amount of the application fee, you need to upload the necessary documents.
  • Upload your recent passport photograph & signature in JPG/JPEG format.
  • Now, take a printout of your application form for future reference.

ADMIT CARD:

UP Police SI Admit Card for 2021 will be released soon for download. Those who have completed the UP Police SI application process shall be issued the Admit Card 2021 utmost 5-10 days before the examination date. Candidates need to carry their Admit Cards to the examination hall. Without the hall ticket, the entry to examination centre is strictly prohibited. Candidates may also follow the steps given below:

  • Open the UP Police official website.
  • Click on the link named 'UP Police SI Admit Card'.
  • Enter your Login details.
  • Your Admit Card shall be displayed on your screen.

SELECTION PROCESS:

The selection process of UP Police SI will be based on three different stages. Each stage of the selection process is compulsory to crack to grab the desired post.

  • Written Examination: This examination for UP Police SI will be objective in an offline mode. The candidate must clear the written exam to get selected for the next stage.
  • Document Verification & PMT: After clearing the written examination, candidates will be asked for the documents & physical measurement test.
  • Physical Efficiency Test: After successfully submitting documents, candidates will be required to give PET, the physical efficiency test.

Final Selection: After the fulfilment of all the stages successfully, the merit list shall be made.

EXAM PATTERN:

Stage 1 (Written Test):

Tier 1 of the UP Police SI Examination is an objective type test that covers 160 questions from 4 subjects with 400 marks (100 marks for each section). The subjects include Basic Law/ Constitution/ General Hindi, General Knowledge, Numerical & Mental Ability Test/ Reasoning. Intelligence Quotient test. Candidates are given two hours to solve all the questions. Here are some essential points regarding the tier 1 exam pattern:

  • The questions will be asked in both English & Hindi languages except for the General Hindi section.
  • There is no negative marking in this examination.
  • For every correct input, candidates will be awarded 2.5 marks.

Stage 2 (Physical Standard Test):

Candidates who clear the written online test shall be called for Physical Standard Test (PST). Female candidates to qualify for PST should have a minimum weight of 40 kg. Male candidates need to have a minimum of 5 cm of chest expansion.

RESULT:

UP Police SI examination results shall be out after the end of the written test. The final list of the candidates shortlisted in UP SI will be announced after the UP Police SI PET examination. Candidates can check the UP Police SI result through the official website of UP Police. Usually, UP Police reports the SI result 25-30 days after completing the exam. You must enter the registration number & password to access the UP Police SI result 2021. Below are the steps which you need to follow to fetch your results.

  • Now, enter your credentials carefully and submit.

CUT-OFF:

The UP Police Recruitment Board releases UP Police SI cut-off after the examination. UP SI General Knowledge Analysis 2017:

  • In history, questions were asked mostly from modern history.
  • Maximum questions were asked from Constitution like articles 14, 17, 44, 51 etc.
  • 3-4 questions were asked from the Police traffic controller system.
  • 2-3 questions were asked from geography.
  • Around 8-10 questions were asked from Women Act, Child Act, Marriage Act etc.
  • 7-8 questions were asked from traditional GK (Awards, Sports, Important dates etc.)
