Eligibility Criteria
Nationality
Motivated young Indian Citizens can apply.
Educational Qualification
Graduates from any recognised university can apply. There are constraints on the subject of graduation.
Age
As of 19 August 2021, candidates must be between the age of 18 to 42 to be eligible to apply.
Employment Status
Gainfully employed citizens are eligible to apply.

How to Apply
- Register yourself as a new user using this link.
- Fill in all the details and provide an active email id and phone number. By default, the provided email id will be your username. Set a password for your profile.
- Log into your profile by entering the correct credentials here.
- After successful login, you can view your dashboard on screen. Continue with your registration.
Admit Card
The Admit Card for the written examination will be available for download after the submission of the application. All Candidates are instructed to download and take a printout of their Admit cards.
Selection Process
- Candidates whose applications check out will be allowed to appear for a written examination by a Preliminary Interview Board (PIB) of the respective Territorial Army Group Headquarters.
- Candidates who clear the written examination stage will be subjected to an Interview by the PIB.
- Candidates who successfully clear the previous stages will further undergo tests at a Service Selection Board (SSB) and Medical Board before the final selection.
- The final appointment is made concerning departmental requirements.

- Duration: 2 hours for each paper
- Type of questions: Objective. Answers should be marked on the OMR sheet.
- Marking Scheme: Each question carries 01 marks, and 0.5 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.

Cut-off
Minimum qualifying marks for selection is 40% in each paper individually and an aggregate of 50% in both the papers taken together.
Job Profile
Qualified candidates have to undergo a one month training period in the first year of the Commission. After selection, the Commission is granted the rank of Lieutenant. The main purpose of the territorial army is to provide assistance during emergencies and relieve the regular army from static duties.

Exam Analysis
The Elementary Mathematics paper will be of the Senior Secondary standard. Questions will be similar to the ones mentioned in NCERT textbooks.
The standard of other subject papers will be at the level of a regular graduate student of an Indian university. General Knowledge paper will focus mainly on India.
Preparation tips
- Previous years question papers - links to last year's papers of the examination are given in the article. Solve these papers to get an idea of the pattern and type of questions.
- For Mathematics, solve all NCERT exercises and exemplar questions. Make a habit of solving at least 50 questions of mathematics every day.
- For general awareness, make a habit of reading newspapers every day. The Hindu and Indian Express are recommended. Make a note of important events as you go.

Study Plan
Syllabus: Covering all the topics in the syllabus is very important. The mathematics syllabus includes almost all the topics prescribed by NCERT for CBSE classes 11 and 12. Solve a maximum number of multiple-choice questions for practice. You can also rely on the internet for some topics. Don't limit yourself to only conventional sources.
Making notes: make notes as you proceed through the list. These notes should be crisp and to the point. Include mindmaps and flowcharts wherever appropriate. Use these notes for revision.
