The RBI introduced the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development to regulate banks and cooperative societies in rural India. NABARD is under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Finance, Government of India. NABARD promotes the development of agriculture, small-scale industries and other economic activities of Rural India. NABARD has released an official notification for the recruitment of Assistant Manager in RDBS and Rajbhasha Services. Details are given below.

For Assistant Manager in Grade 'A' (RAJBHASHA):
Bachelor's degree in English or Hindi medium with Hindi and English as compulsory or elective subject/ PG diploma in Translation in Hindi to English and vice-versa from a recognised University.
Minimum marks required in the qualifying exam -
- Bachelor's degree: 60% for general, 55% for SC/ST/PwBD applicants
- Postgraduate degree: 55% for general, 50% for SC/ST/PwBD applicants
Age
The candidate must be between 21 to 30 years of age to be eligible to apply.

How to Apply
- Visit the bank's website https://www.nabard.org/.
- Go to the "Career" Section and click on "Apply Online."
- Choose the "New Registration" option and enter Name, Contact details and email id. The website will generate a Registration Number and password. Note this down as your login credentials.
- Login using your credentials and start filling the application form.
- Verify the details before submitting the application.
- Proceed to upload Photo and Signature as per specifications.
- Preview your application and click on "Final Submit."
- Click on the "Payment" option and make the payment.
- Take a printout of the e-receipt and application form for future reference.
Admit Card
Candidates will have to download their admit cards for online examinations from the NABARD's website. You will also be intimated about the availability of admit cards via registered email/SMS. Candidates must produce admit card at the examination venue.

Job Profile
For the post of Specialist:
Duties and responsibilities include:
- Identification and mapping of available resources.
- Preparation of sectoral papers, State Focus papers, etc.
- Attending to the requests of client institutions.
- Providing expert views and consultancy on their respective specialisations.
- Representation on various technical committees towards policy advocacy.
- Providing suggestions and advice for effective policy formulations and business plans.
- Monitoring proposals and developments.
Computer/ IT Specialist:
Duties and responsibilities include:
- Data Administration and Security.
- Data Analytics, Networking and server management.
- Application development.
Finance Specialist:
Duties and responsibilities include:
- Treasury management.
- Risk management.
- Handling of regulatory and statutory compliances for public issues, retail bonds, etc.
Salary
Starting basic pay of a Grade A Officer in NABARD is ₹ 28,150, and they will be eligible for various allowances. Currently, the initial monthly gross emoluments are approximately ₹ 70,000.
Exam Analysis
Preliminary examination: The test will have 200 objective questions to be completed in 120 minutes. All the questions will be Bilingual - Hindi and English except for the English language section. Economics & Social Issues section will focus mainly on Rural India. The agriculture & Rural Development section will also have an emphasis on Rural India.
Mains examination: The paper-II descriptive paper will contain six questions, out of which any four need to be answered for 15 marks and 2 for ten marks.
Preparation tips
- Previous years question papers - links to last year's papers of NABARD Grade 'A' examination are given further below in the article. Solve these papers to get an idea of the pattern and type of questions.
- For general awareness, make a habit of reading newspapers every day. The Hindu and Indian Express are recommended. Make a note of important events as you go.
- Essay Writing - Before tackling an article, note the points you want to include in your report. Practise writing essays as you have to complete the rest of the questions in the stipulated time.
- Take up mock tests to assess your level of preparation. It gives you a chance to work on areas in which you are lagging and improve the efficiency of your practice. Solving online mock tests will also help with time management skills.
- For the Interview, Improve your speaking skills. Practice well structured and engaging answers to common questions about yourself like your motivation behind taking up the exam, your aim in life, etc.

Study Plan
Syllabus: Covering all the topics in the syllabus is very important. The list is your guide. Keep the list of topics always with you and cross off the items on the list as you proceed.
Making notes: make notes as you proceed through the list. These notes should be crisp and to the point. Include mindmaps and flowcharts wherever appropriate. Use these notes for revision.
