Eligibility Criteria for GSET 2021

Educational Qualification

  • For candidates belonging to the General, General-EWS, or Unreserved category, a Master's Degree or its equivalent with a minimum of 55% marks from a government-recognized university or college is mandatory to be eligible to apply.
  • Candidates must have a Master's Degree or its equivalent in any of these subjects: Sciences, Social Science, Humanities, Languages, Computer Science and Applications
  • Candidates belonging to reserved categories must have at least 50% marks in their Master's Degree or its equivalent from a government-recognized university or college.

Age Limit

  • The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodara, does not specify any age bar for GSET aspirants. Everyone who is deserving gets equal opportunity.

Note: Candidates who completed their Ph.D. degree by 19 September 1991 are allowed a relaxation of 5 % in their aggregate marks.

How to Apply for GSET 2021

  • Visit the official website of GSET.
  • Click on the "Register" option.
  • Fill in your basic details such as name, address, phone number etc.
  • Verify the OTP to confirm your communication details.
  • Read the instructions carefully before filling the GSET application form.
  • Fill in your particulars carefully.
  • Upload a clear, scanned copy of your photograph and signature.
  • Make the application fee payment.
  • Take a printout of your application and fee receipt for reference.

GSET Selection Process 2021

The selection process consists of the following:

  • Objective-Type Paper I Offline Exam
  • Objective-Type Paper II Offline Exam

GSET 2021 Exam Pattern

Here's a breakdown of the weightage that each paper carries:

  • Paper I consisting of 50 questions and 100 marks
  • Paper II consisting of 100 questions and 200 marks
  • Barring Languages and Sciences, the paper will be available in both English and Gujarati.
  • Candidates will be offered +2 marks for each correct answer.

GSET 2021 Cut-off

  • As per the subject-specific requirement, candidates must rank in the top 15% of their respective chosen subject to qualify further.
  • A minimum of 6% candidates will qualify from the category-specific list.
  • General (Unreserved) candidates must pass in both the papers with a minimum of 40% aggregate marks combined.
  • For candidates belonging to the reserved categories, at least 35% aggregate marks is required in both papers combined.
