AFCAT, commonly known as Air Force Common Admission Test, is a national level exam for selection as a Grade A Officer into Indian Air Force. AFCAT is appropriate for both Male & Female candidates; they may be shortlisted for the following branches: Technical Branch - Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Science. Ground Duty - Administration, Logistics, Accounts. The AFCAT Exam is conducted twice a year to recruit Technical & Non-Technical branches of the Indian Air Force.

Indian Air Force has released the AFCAT 2 official notification 2021 inviting online applications from Young (Men & Women), who want to join Indian Air Force as a Grade-A Gazetted Officer in Flying, Ground duty (Technical), Ground Duty (Non-Technical) branches.

AFCAT 2 ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

Flying Branch eligibility criteria:

Age Limit (as of 01 July 2022)20 to 24 years (at the initial time of the course). The upper age limit for aspirants possessing a valid & current Commercial Pilot License issued by DGCA (India) is relaxed up to 26 years (at the time of initiation, of course).
Educational QualificationCriteria 1: Minimum of 60% marks each in Mathematics & Physics at 10+2 level. Graduates (three-year course) in any discipline with minimum 60% marks/ equivalent OR ** BE/B Tech (four-year course) with minimum 60% marks/ equivalent. Criteria 2:** Cleared Section A & B exam of Associate Membership of Institute Engineers (India)/ Aeronautical Society of India with a minimum of 60% marks/ equivalent. Final-year students can also apply, provided they do not have any backlog at AFSB Testing & produce Degree certificates issued by the University.

Note- For Gorkha individuals belonging to the North-Eastern region of India, Garhwali & Kumaon, the minimum acceptable height will be five cms less. For candidates from Lakshadweep, the minimum adequate height will be two cms less(men & women).

HOW TO APPLY FOR AFCAT 2:

  • Visit the Indian Airforce official website.
  • On the home page, find the link to apply online for AFCAT 2 2021 exam.
  • Then, fill up the details according to your official documents.
  • Click on the given submit button.
  • Now pay the application fee.
  • Don't forget to print your AFCAT application receipt for future use.

AFCAT 2 ADMIT CARD:

The AFCAT admit card shall be made available in August 2021, i.e. three weeks before the AFCAT examination by the Indian Air Force at their official site. Candidates with appropriate online registration shall be able to download their admit cards. Candidates can log in to the AFCAT call letter page using their registration details.

  • On the home page, find AFCAT 2 Admit card 2021, click on the link.
  • Now, enter the required details, such as registration no. & password.
  • Then, click on the submit button.
  • Save & download at least two copies of your Admit card.

The selection process of AFCAT 2 2021 rests on four stages as follows:

Marking Scheme & Standard of AFCAT

  • For every correct input, three marks shall be awarded.
  • For every incorrect input, one mark shall be deducted.
  • There shall be no negative marking for the unattempted questions.

AFCAT 2 RESULT:

To check the AFCAT 2 2021 results, candidates need to log in with their respective Email-Id, Password & Captcha Code. The candidates who qualify the written examination shall be called for the next round of the selection process which is the AFSB Interview and following the interview, they shall be down for a medical test. At last, a merit list shall be issued by the conducting body to finalize the selected candidates.

  • Operate & watch after the fighter planes with the combat.
  • Transportation of material.
  • Transportation of ammunition tasks.

AFCAT Ground Duty (Technical):

  • Maintaining the technical tools and equipment of aircraft.
  • Responsible for managing technicians who are already qualified.

AFCAT 2 PREPARATION TIPS:

  • Reading magazines and daily newspapers can help you with the General Knowledge section.
  • For an extensive study of General Knowledge, candidates must be updated about the latest books & authors.
  • Remain educated regarding the Cities located at the banks of famous rivers, First Award Holder in Sports, Winners, etc. This might be able to cover more than half of the questions in this section.
  • Please learn the Mathematical formulas; it is recommended to go through whatever formulas you have prepared. Solve the questions from past year papers & some difficult ones.
  • Regarding English, one needs to be unique regarding the basics of Elementary education and focus more on Synonyms/Antonyms. Reading helps a lot.
  • It is counselled to read The Hindu Editorials & Reader's Digest.
